Cursing under his breath, Shinji didn't slow down. He flashed onto the belt of floating rubble and sprinted toward the Otsutsuki Branch Family castle at full speed.
Neji rushed out of the temple right behind him. When he saw the dense swarm of Tenseigan puppets in the sky, he sucked in a breath and hurried after Shinji.
He'd been confused earlier, unable to understand why Shinji was fleeing in such a hurry.
Now, he understood!
It wasn't just the sky. A huge number of Tenseigan puppets were also pouring out of the Otsutsuki castle, charging toward them along the belt of rubble.
With large numbers of Tenseigan puppets swooping down from above and another group blocking their way ahead, Neji called out, "My lord, what do we do?"
Shinji replied coolly, "Fight our way through!"
A vast area that included the Otsutsuki Branch Family castle and the surrounding floating stone mountains was protected by a barrier. To escape, they had to either break through it or make their way out through the passage they'd used to sneak in.
The barrier had clearly been activated by the Giant Tenseigan.
In the original timeline, Otsutsuki Toneri had told Hinata that as long as they stayed inside the barrier, they'd be safe even if the moon collided with Earth and destroyed the entire surface.
That showed just how sturdy the barrier was.
So their only way out was the passage they'd used to sneak in!
