Following this line of thought, Shinji began preparing a plan for the transplant surgery.
First, he repeatedly used the equipment to compare the chakra properties of Neji, Kimimaro, and the pair of Byakugan taken from the Otsutsuki Branch Family.
Unlike cellular tissue, comparing chakra properties could clearly determine whether two types of chakra were related.
For example, members of the Uchiha Clan all had Sharingan Dojutsu that were similar in nature, even though their individual chakra affinities differed.
After comparing them again and again,
Shinji confirmed that the three shared certain characteristics in their chakra.
Put simply, through chakra, Shinji confirmed that the Hyuga Clan, the Kaguya Clan, and the Otsutsuki Clan on the moon were all related, and could all trace their ancestry back to the same forebear.
Having confirmed this, Shinji began working on the next problem.
As the sole surviving member of the Kaguya Clan, Kimimaro bore clear signs of having reverted to his ancestors' traits. He could be said to be the person on the surface whose bloodline was closest to Hagoromo Otsutsuki's.
Neji was nowhere near as close in this regard.
That was why Kimimaro's cellular tissue was so aggressive: it simply could not fuse with the cells of an ordinary person. To transplant Kimimaro's cells, Neji would first need to increase the strength of his Byakugan chakra at least fivefold.
Shinji had thought of two possible solutions, along with a backup plan.
The first solution was to transplant the Byakugan from the Otsutsuki Branch Family into Neji. By fusing it with his own Byakugan, Neji could purify his eyes and strengthen his Byakugan chakra.
The second solution was to find a way for Neji to master the Yin Seal. He could use it to compress and concentrate his Byakugan chakra, thereby increasing its purity
