The Joint Force was not only large in numbers, but was also led by the elite of each village. Against a bounty-hunting organization like the Akatsuki, which consisted of only a handful of members, they had no reason to fear any kind of trap—as long as they weren't caught off guard.
So although they knew things were probably not that simple, and that Yugito's chakra signature up ahead might well have been bait laid by the Akatsuki, the Fourth Raikage, who was leading the force, didn't hesitate for a moment. He continued to lead everyone in pursuit of Yugito.
Several hours later, they arrived at the edge of a primeval forest.
As they gazed at the silent forest beneath the night sky, everyone in the Joint Force instinctively felt a chill.
The Fourth Raikage turned to a Sensory Unit ninja beside him and asked, "Is this the place?"
After confirming, the Sensory Unit ninja nodded firmly. "Yes. Lord Yugito's chakra signature is inside!"
Kiba stepped forward. "Lord Raikage, this area is full of swamps, and there's also a deadly miasma in the forest. If you breathe it in, your entire body will become paralyzed."
The Fourth Raikage nodded.
In truth, he already knew this was no safe place; he didn't need anyone to warn him.
Kakashi came over to Jiraiya. "Lord Jiraiya, shouldn't we warn the Raikage that this might be another trap carefully prepared by the Akatsuki?"
Jiraiya glanced at the nearby Raikage, who looked eager to rush in, then shook his head. "It won't help."
Asuma said, "Then should we move separately?"
Jiraiya shook his head. "No. As long as we stay together, the Akatsuki won't be able to do anything to us, no matter how powerful they are. If we split up, we'll give them a chance
