The fusion had gone too smoothly just now. That suggested the two sides weren't evenly matched: the ordinary Ketsuryūgan had quickly been devoured by the enhanced one.
Then what if both sides of the fusion were enhanced Ketsuryūgan? Would the result be better?
Shinji's gaze returned to the row of Ketsuryūgan.
After two fusions, he had only six pairs left: one enhanced pair and five ordinary pairs.
If he wanted to try a new method,
he would have to use up an ordinary pair to fuse another enhanced pair, then attempt to fuse the two enhanced pairs together.
If it didn't work, or the result was poor, he would have wasted two pairs of Ketsuryūgan.
Now, just like the Uchiha Clan, the Chinoike Clan had been reduced to one or two surviving members. Every pair of Ketsuryūgan used meant one fewer pair left.
After a moment, Shinji suddenly laughed aloud. "What am I agonizing over? If they're no use to me, what's the point of keeping a pile of Ketsuryūgan?"
