The Third Hokage was seated in the Hokage Building, listening to reports from his ANBU.
"The hospital is secure. We haven't found anyone suspicious."
"The Ninja Academy is secure. We haven't found anyone suspicious."
"The various ninja clans haven't reported any unusual activity at their compounds."
"The Police Force Building is secure."
"The ANBU Building is secure."
Reports poured in from every corner of the village, converging in the Hokage Office.
Several members of the Advisor Elder Council were listening to the reports as well.
Utatane Koharu frowned. "Why would the Akatsuki Organization attack the archives?"
None of those present seemed to have an answer.
Danzo spoke with certainty. "Perhaps the archives were just a diversion!"
The Third Hokage looked at Danzo.
"Based on the Akatsuki Organization's past operations, their targets have only ever been Tailed Beasts and Wood Release," Danzo said. "So this time, they're either after the Nine-Tails or Kurama Yakumo!"
Utatane Koharu said, "Yes, that's possible!"
The Third Hokage spoke up. "Jiraiya is personally guarding Naruto, and Yakumo is with Tsunade. Their safety is assured."
Danzo snorted. "Then we'll have to see what the Akatsuki Organization does next!"
Danzo had barely finished speaking when several ANBU facing the windows suddenly went pale.
"What is it?"
The Third Hokage frowned and immediately turned to look out the window.
The three members of the Advisor Elder Council looked as well.
Then the towering Susanoo standing beneath the night sky came into view, and everyone was stunned!
Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura both paled and instinctively took a step back. "H-How is this possible?!"
