Juzo Biwa glanced toward the first hint of dawn on the horizon and smiled. "It's morning!"
"Yeah!"
Itachi nodded.
"Let me go! Let me go!"
Beside them, a demon trapped inside the Water Prison Technique stared in terror at the sun rising over the horizon and screamed hysterically.
Juzo Biwa, who had performed the Water Prison Technique, kept one hand pressed against it and leaned on Kubikiribōchō with the other. He carefully examined the demon he had trapped, then said doubtfully, "There aren't any 'Upper Rank' or 'Lower Rank' markings in this guy's eyes. Could it be a fake?"
Itachi considered this. "Maybe it's just defective."
"The leader told us to capture monsters with 'Upper Rank' or 'Lower Rank' markings in their eyes," Juzo Biwa said. "I wonder if the other teams have had any luck."
"Don't worry about the others," Itachi said.
"If even this one's defective, these monsters could be a real problem," Juzo Biwa said.
Just then, sunlight fell upon them.
"AAAAH!"
As the sunlight shone on the demon trapped in the Water Prison Technique, it let out a bloodcurdling wail.
Itachi and Juzo Biwa both looked over.
Right before their eyes, the demon that had been impervious to every kind of Taijutsu and ninjutsu melted away like thin ice beneath the blazing sun.
Juzo Biwa chuckled. "Tch, these monsters really are afraid of sunlight!"
Itachi looked away.
The monster's glaring weakness made him feel quietly relieved.
Juzo Biwa looked around, then pointed toward a distant patch of woods. "It's about time to report in. Let's find somewhere over there to rest."
"Yeah!"
Itachi nodded.
The two of them went into the woods and found a secluded spot, where they began forming Hand Seals.
A short while later,
their Spirit Bodies appeared as phantoms inside the Akatsuki
