These Medical Team ninja had been temporarily assigned to the research group. Some acted as porters, delivering the various tools and toxins needed to prepare the potions to each workstation. Others acted as cleaners, quickly clearing the workstations whenever the potion-makers failed.
Everyone looked solemn and weighed down.
As soon as the potion-preparation experiments began, the various supplies the research group had stockpiled started vanishing at a frantic, visibly accelerating rate.
Tsunade, who was overseeing everything, looked at the rows of workstations belonging to the potion team in the distance as if they were gold-devouring beasts. Her brows drew tightly together.
At that moment, Shizune came before Tsunade with a stack of documents. "Lord Tsunade, at this rate of consumption, the group's inventory will soon be completely exhausted. These are the supply requests submitted by the potion team. They need your signature before they can be sent to the village."
Tsunade took the documents and merely skimmed them before forcing her gaze away from the terrifying figures and scrawling her signature.
After handing the documents back to Shizune, Tsunade asked, "Have there been any results?"
Shizune shook her head with a bitter expression. "The potion team has conducted more than four hundred preparation experiments so far. Only one barely succeeded, but it was ultimately rejected during the potency tests."
Tsunade's expression darkened.
She herself was a top Medical Ninja and potion-maker, so merely hearing that success rate was enough for her to understand roughly how difficult this preparation was.
Shizune asked somewhat nervously, "Lord Tsunade, can we succeed this time?"
Tsunade replied, "Our direction is correct, so we
