What met his eyes was a peaceful night. The chirping of insects filled his ears, adding to the tranquil atmosphere.
Shinji strolled through the woods, surveying everything around him.
Though he didn't know where he was, he had already confirmed that this wasn't the Shinobi World. It was the Demon Slayer World he had come to counter-invade.
He could clearly sense that there was no Chakra here!
"Although everything looks the same, there's a lingering sense of discomfort. Is it because this world has no Chakra?"
Shinji furrowed his brow slightly.
After invading the Demon Slayer World, he had felt uncomfortable, as if he had a burden on his back or shackles around him.
The sensation was unmistakable, but he couldn't figure out why just yet.
Soon, he emerged from the woods and reached the edge of a high cliff.
Standing at the cliff's edge and gazing into the distance, he saw a vast spread of lights far away. There seemed to be a city there!
"Now, find Haku and Karin."
Thinking this to himself, Shinji activated Naobi.
He wasn't sure if he was still inexperienced at using the "Lantern," but this invasion had clearly gone slightly awry. Haku and Karin had crossed the Space Rift with him, yet neither of them was beside him now.
His Naobi's range had now reached over a hundred kilometers, so he quickly sensed where Haku and Karin were.
The two seemed to have landed directly in the distant city, and seemed to be in luck.
"In that case, I'll have them investigate in the open while I stay hidden and support them."
Shinji quietly made up his mind.
The Demon Slayer World of now was surely very different from the one he remembered, so there was no such thing as being too cautious.
