Before heading to the Demon Slayer World, Shinji's goals had always been his own "Rinnegan Plan" and "Tenseigan Plan." In the Shinobi World, possessing a Rinnegan or Tenseigan of his own would basically put him at the pinnacle.
Everything else was just practice in experience and technique.
Naruto and Sasuke after the Fourth Shinobi World War in the original timeline weren't really much stronger than that.
But after visiting the Demon Slayer World and witnessing how formidable the Overlord of Fear was, Shinji knew that level of power was nowhere near enough to stand against the Overlord.
So he had to raise his goal to the "Six Paths level," or even the "Kekkei Mōra."
"Do I have to set my sights on the Ten-Tails?"
Shinji furrowed his brow slightly.
The "Six Paths level" was just Shinji's own way of classifying things. There was no such tier in the Shinobi World.
The only figures who had clearly reached the "Six Paths level" were Obito and Madara Uchiha, who had each used the Ten-Tails during the Fourth Shinobi World War, along with Kaguya Otsutsuki and the Sage of Six Paths—figures from myth and legend.
Even the First, hailed as the "God of Shinobi," was clearly a step below that level.
After pondering for a long while, Shinji realized that aside from becoming the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, he couldn't think of any other reliable way to reach the "Six Paths level."
"If I go after the Ten-Tails, I'll end up at war with the Five Great Shinobi Villages and Nagato's Akatsuki Organization at the same time!" He paused, then shook his head. "No, I'd probably also draw the attention of the Sage of Six Paths, who's been watching the Shinobi World from the shadows!"
Rubbing his temple, Shinji set the idea aside for now.
