Shinji stopped Sasuke from killing Danzo and ordered the Konoha Ninja to arrest him, forcing Danzo to fight when he refused to surrender. Danzo escaped his earthen trap with Wood Release and began attacking the shinobi, while Shinji kept Sasuke from intervening.

While Kakuzu’s team planned to use the Box of Paradise to weaken the Allied Forces, Hiruko and Ranmaru attacked Kirigakure to draw out the hidden Fourth Mizukage. Scorpion and Deidara tracked a figure who fled the village and entered a hidden cave, hoping the trail would lead them to the Mizukage.

• Kakuzu told Itachi, Hidan, and Juzo Biwa that the leader had ordered them to hold position, then proposed using the Box of Paradise to trouble the Allied Forces.

• Scorpion and Deidara tracked a Kirigakure messenger to Fourth Mizukage Karatachi Yagura and attacked him outside the cave.
• Scorpion and Deidara overpowered the badly injured Yagura and stopped him from killing himself, then sealed him and signaled Kirigakure.
• Hiruko and Ranmaru learned of the success, regrouped, and left Kirigakure after attacking the village without meeting resistance.

The Five Kage discussed the Akatsuki Organization’s attacks on Konoha and Kirigakure and how to protect the Allied Forces while searching for Nagato. The chapter ended with the Grass Country camp reporting a devastating attack by the monster from Kusagakure’s Box of Paradise and urgently requesting reinforcements.

Kakashi recruited Ryūsetsuna and Chiyo for an elite mission to reinforce the Grass Country camp after it was attacked by the monster from Kusagakure’s Box of Paradise. As the allied force set out, Tanjiro tracked his target north toward Grass Country.

• Ryūsetsuna learned from Kakashi that the Grass Country camp had been attacked by the monster inside the Box of Paradise, and she agreed to help investigate.
• Kakashi gathered Ryūsetsuna, Chiyo, and an elite group of ninjas, warning that the mission might draw an Akatsuki attack.
• Ryūsetsuna and Chiyo collected supplies and joined roughly one thousand allied ninjas heading to reinforce the Grass Country camp.

Ryūsetsuna and Chiyo searched for Muku while the Akatsuki Organization launched an assault on the Grass Country camp. They found Muku beneath a lone tree, and Ryūsetsuna resolved to bring him back to Kusagakure despite Chiyo's warning that he might no longer be human.

• Yakumo assigned Ryūsetsuna and Chiyo to search the area near the camp while the other teams covered the surrounding directions, and Ryūsetsuna sensed Muku nearby.
• Kakashi spotted eight official Akatsuki Organization members and split the Allied Forces into teams to hold them off.
• Asuma and Kurenai led elite squads against Akatsuki members while Kakashi and Guy engaged Itachi and Juzo Biwa.

Asuma’s squad gained the upper hand against Kakuzu and Hidan, but Ranmaru ambushed Asuma and helped Hidan recover his weapon. When Gō flew away from the battlefield, Kakuzu and Hidan abandoned the fight and rushed toward the Box of Paradise.

• Asuma’s squad used its knowledge of Kakuzu and Hidan’s abilities to suppress them, while Jirō helped drive Kakuzu back and destroy two of his masks.
• Ranmaru appeared behind Asuma and pierced his chest with Shadow Release, throwing Asuma’s squad into disarray.
• Ranmaru killed the Magnet Release shinobi guarding Hidan’s Bloody Reaper and returned the weapon to Hidan.
• Hidan drove back the two Hyuga Clan members and joined Kakuzu as they began attacking the Allied shinobi.

Ryūsetsuna discovered that Muku had become the monster Gō, and fought to bring him back while Kakuzu and Hidan forced him to attack. As Chiyo confronted the Akatsuki members, Yakumo and the others rushed to support her and Ryūsetsuna, leaving Ranmaru to follow them.

• Ryūsetsuna reunited with Muku, who revealed that he had become Gō and could never return to the village.
• Kakuzu activated the sealing formula implanted in Muku and ordered Gō to attack Ryūsetsuna, who dodged and vowed to find a way to change him back.
• Chiyo stepped between Kakuzu and Hidan and challenged them to fight her.
• Yakumo arrived in time to save Jirō from Ranmaru, then prepared to face Ranmaru with support from Darui, Ringo Ameyuri, and Chojuro.
