Gauss, Alya, and Ulfhen the Gray Wolf walked across the bleak wilderness.

There were far fewer travelers and wagons than there had been a few days ago, and the chill was growing sharper.

Both of them were in good shape. Gauss especially—aside from lacking a Warrior Class Rank bonus and the powerful Combat Skills that came with it, his attributes might well have been no worse than those of some level-one Warriors.

As a result, he hadn't been sick in a long time, and his resistance to the cold far surpassed that of ordinary people.

"We've completed two more quests." Alya crossed off an entry in the notebook she carried with her and breathed out a puff of white mist.

"Even though we've been doing these odd jobs since becoming Bronze Adventurers, which might look strange, this is actually pretty efficient," Gauss replied.

"I don't mind." Alya shrugged, then added with a hint of teasing, "But it seems like people have started giving our party a nickname lately—the Goblin Slayer party."

"..." Gauss was speechless.

He admitted that lately he'd been killing goblins more often and in greater numbers, but wasn't that because most of the monsters active nearby were goblins?

The weather was turning cold, and he didn't want to travel long distances, so he'd started focusing on clearing out small quests in the surrounding area.

After applying to the Association, he'd received permission to take on two ordinary quests at once, as long as they were nearby or along the same route.

That way, he could complete two quests in a single outing. The number of monsters he killed often reached around thirty, and he could return to Grayrock Town even sooner than he could after most beginner quests.

It was just as efficient as a one-star beginner
