I had to work overtime (I didn't want to, but I was preparing accounts receivable documents. We settle them once a month and send them out mid-month. It was urgent, so I had no choice but to work late.
Honestly, I should've finished earlier, but I slack off a bit at work. I write at home in my free time, so I don't get much chance to rest. At work, I like to sneak a little downtime and play on my phone.
If I were the boss, I'd definitely hate an employee like that. But I'm not, so I have to forgive myself.
But if I don't do my work, it won't just disappear on its own. It's been piling up over the past few days, so I've been especially busy—particularly today. I'd planned to finish everything by the time I normally got off work, but then other tasks with absolutely no sense of timing kept cropping up one after another and delaying me.
Sigh. I have to send it to the client for confirmation as soon as possible, so I had to work overtime.)
I don't have time to sleep now that I'm home, either (my body clock makes me sleepy at this hour, right on schedule).
I wanted to force myself to stay up and write a chapter first, but I'm so sleepy. After half an hour, I still had no ideas, and all I'd done was rattle off a few hundred words of this nonsense.
I've decided to go to sleep first.
I asked my boss for the day off.
Tomorrow I'll get up early and write today's two chapters, then post them together in the morning, probably around nine or ten.
