Gauss and the others returned to town three days later.
When the weary group arrived back in Canopy Town and saw its familiar wooden buildings, rooftops wreathed in cooking smoke, and the people and livestock moving along the streets, they finally let out a long breath of relief. At last, they felt safe again.
In theory, with their party's lineup, several Level 5 fighters meant that after leaving the Emerald Forest, they would hardly encounter any enemies they couldn't handle.
But that was only under normal circumstances. Even knowing they were probably safe, adventurers in the wilderness had to stay alert at all times.

"That's right." Gauss nodded. "It's not one of those haphazard wilderness nests. It's a proper camp with tall fences, watchtowers, patrols, and supply convoys, and it flies the Green Dragon's banner. The monsters inside are a mixed force. We saw mostly goblins, Lizardmen, and gnolls around the outskirts, but we don't know what other monsters might be in the center of the camp."
"Adventurers who head there later will need to be careful."
The male receptionist pushed up his glasses at that and quickly
