Blackwater's Affairs Concluded
Orcs living in the marsh wetlands looked slightly different from ordinary orcs.
To adapt to the damp environment, Swamp Orcs' skin wasn't as dry and rough as that of ordinary orcs. Instead, it was smoother and tougher, with a layer of slimy liquid clinging to its surface almost constantly.
This liquid reduced friction as they walked through the mud and also prevented their skin from ulcerating after long periods immersed in the wetlands.
At that moment, many orcs in the marsh felt the temperature rise sharply at the same time.
The abundant moisture in the air seemed to have been sucked away in an instant. The change in the environment was immediately noticeable to the Swamp Orcs, who were especially sensitive to humidity.
The next moment.
"Boom!"
A tremor that shook the earth and mountains came from the center of the marsh.
Gauss hovered in the sky, watching as the Fireball he had cast crashed down into the Swamp Orcs' nest. The four-ring Fireball, whose power had been increased, collided with the miasma drifting above the wetlands, and the surrounding magic instantly went wild.
Don't underestimate that miasma. It was infused with dense Natural Magic Power and seemed to be some kind of special defensive measure. It was exceptionally strong.
An ordinary four-ring spell or another attack of similar intensity really couldn't break through that seemingly fragile defense.
But the empowered Fireball Gauss had charged up and released wasn't something an ordinary four-ring spell could compare with. The magical miasma defense was soon overwhelmed and shattered with a crash.
Above, the morning sunlight finally pierced through the miasma that had never dissipated, shining down on the ground.
It was as if a huge hole had suddenly been torn open in the sky above the entire marsh.
"Woo!
