Gauss listened to his companion's rambling without offering his own opinion.

For now, he was not particularly short on money.

Of course, money was naturally better in greater quantities. No one would complain about having too much of it.

With enough money, he could buy better clothes, boots, and weapons, or hire someone to teach him.

But even without it for the time being, he could make do.

After all, one of his main reasons for saving money had been to buy a wand, and that plan now seemed to have stalled.

He had indeed obtained the Bone Staff, and it was extremely easy to use. There was almost nothing he needed to get used to, and it fit him as if it had naturally been a part of him all along.

The problem was that even Andeni, a Halfling who had become a professional, had not found a suitable wand core after all these years. Gauss felt that relying on money to buy one probably would not be dependable.

While eating heartily, Gauss began considering his next arrangements and plans.

His total number of kills in the Monster Codex had surpassed fifty.

His next goal was to reach a total of one hundred monster kills.

It sounded easy, but it would probably take some time.

If he could kill ten monsters on every mission, he would need roughly five missions.

Once he reached the hundred-kill stage, his minimum guaranteed increase to his physical attributes would rise once more.

His current Attribute Panel was:

Strength: 5 Agility: 6 Constitution: 6 Intelligence: 7 Perception: 5 Charisma: 5
