Overview

The Mind's Eye of the Kagura is an Uzumaki Clan sensory secret technique that detects chakra across a wide area. Feng An gains it automatically after obtaining Hashirama Cells. It can identify known chakra signatures, perceive chakra fluctuations and emotional qualities, and hide the user’s own chakra from detection. 58 64 73

Unlike the Byakugan, it does not provide a complete visual view of its coverage area. It detects chakra rather than scenery and cannot identify unfamiliar chakra signatures solely through observation. 162

Chakra Detection

The technique senses chakra signatures, their movement, and abnormalities within its detection range.

• Feng An can accurately locate and follow people whose chakra he already recognizes, including Hyuga Hiashi, Hinata, Kiba, Fūka, and Yudzuki. 64 65

Chakra Signature Analysis

The Mind's Eye can distinguish qualities within chakra beyond raw strength or location.

• It perceives the temperature and scent of chakra. 261

• Feng An recognizes Otsutsuki chakra as purely cold and devoid of emotional warmth, unlike Uchiha chakra, which is cold but contains intense emotion. 530

Chakra Concealment

Feng An can use the Mind's Eye to suppress and conceal his chakra signature.

Range Expansion

The technique’s detection range can be deliberately widened, though expanded range reduces clarity.

• Feng An extends the range from one to 10 kilometers while sheltering near Hokage Rock; information at the perimeter is indistinct. 75
• Sage Mode substantially enhances its range. 462

Limitations

• Feng An usually closes his eyes to activate the technique, making it inconvenient for direct combat compared with the Byakugan. 58 65
