Northern Xuan Region, Darkness City.
Dark Plaza.
The Dark Plaza was now packed with a sea of people stretching beyond sight. Yet despite such a terrifying number gathered here, the world was utterly silent.
Clearly, Darkness Hall was holding its triennial Dark Festival.
Yet in merely two years, Darkness Hall had changed masters.
Countless fearful gazes were fixed upon the very center of the plaza, where a Black Altar stood. The altar had ten thousand Stone Stairs, and at the very summit sat a Black Throne.
At this moment, a slender figure sat upon that throne. She wore a black skirt robe, its edges covered in dark gold mysterious patterns. An air of solemnity and nobility faintly radiated from her.
She had a calm, beautiful face, skin like snow, willow brows like Crescent Moons, and a delicate, high-bridged nose.
Though her features now carried a little more coldness and maturity than before, her once charming outline could still vaguely be seen. Other than Qing Tan, who else could it be?
She sat upon the throne, gazing down at the sea of people filling Dark Plaza. Wherever her gaze passed, figures bowed humbly, with few daring to meet her eyes.
Her cold, majestic eyes swept across the entire plaza before she finally nodded gently.
"Let the festival begin!"
As she nodded, resounding cries wrapped in powerful Yuan Power spread into the distance, eventually echoing throughout the world.
Countless Black Lights shot into the sky like a grand celebration.
Leaders of factions from all over the Northern Xuan Region began arriving in Dark Plaza one after another, their respectful voices rising continuously between heaven and earth.
"The Northern Mang Sect Master leads his people here to congratulate the festival! May the Hall Master's heavenly might be boundless, and may all regions submit!"
