Background

Qing Tan was adopted by Lin Xiao and Liu Yan of the Yan City Lin Family and grew up alongside Lin Dong, whom she regards as her elder brother. As a child, she suffered recurring eruptions of severe Yin Cold Qi that left her in agony and threatened to destroy her body. 73 74

Her condition stemmed from the Demonic Body, an extraordinary Yin-fiend constitution not normally found in a Lower Plane. Lin Langtian identified a way to resolve the condition: condensing her Yin Fiend Qi into a Demonic Fiend Yin Dan with an extreme Yin-and-cold treasure. 75 95

Years later, Qing Tan learned that she was originally the daughter of the former Clan Leader of the Northern Region Leng Family in the Great Thousand World. Her uncle’s branch had declined after her father’s death and sought to bring her back for a marriage alliance with the Desert North Wu Family.
