After doing all this, only two paths lay before you. One was to let the remaining three-quarters of the Essence Yuan fed back by the dissipating Spirit of the Phantom disperse. The other was to grit your teeth and absorb this same-origin Immortal Source as well, though it carried a certain degree of danger—especially at this critical juncture when you were about to condense a Dao Fruit and break through, as it would greatly increase the difficulty of the breakthrough.

If it were anyone else, there would naturally be no need for much consideration. They could only choose the first path. After meeting the conditions for a breakthrough, most living beings found it difficult to fit any more Immortal Source within their bodies. If they absorbed such an amount of Immortal Source again, the result would inevitably be bursting apart and dying.

Yet you differed somewhat from others in three ways. The first, and most important, was that your current body was no longer comparable to that of an ordinary Golden Immortal Realm creature. With a body already comparable to a Pureblood True Dragon in its Prime Age—that is, a True Immortal Realm Pureblood True Dragon—you already had a certain confidence in absorbing this same-origin Immortal Source. Furthermore, your foundation was far beyond that of ordinary creatures. This stemmed from the greater transformations gained each time your Flower of the Great Dao underwent nirvana. The key lay in the infusion of several Laws, with the most crucial being the Fourth-grade "Life Law."
