You Said You Had the Wrong Person

Big Rhinoceros Deer looked over and saw Black Tiger climbing up. He felt a little disappointed.

If his older brother, Yellow Big Tiger, had come, he might have been able to help. This little black tiger wasn't much of a match for the two human cultivators.

The black tiger hadn't transformed that day, so when Yue Wen and Zhao Xing'er saw it, they didn't recognize it at first.

Black Tiger had been knocked unconscious for a few seconds when he was hit while clinging to the car. He'd actually regained consciousness quickly, but after realizing he was surrounded by members of the Human Race, he hadn't dared move. He only relaxed after being tossed into this simulated Wasteland Zone.

But the area was full of danger, teeming with demons and cultivators, so he still didn't dare let his guard down. It wasn't until he heard the Rhinoceros Deer brothers calling that he rushed over.

No matter how bad-tempered the brothers were, they were strong enough to protect him.

He hadn't stayed happy for long. When he saw Zhao Xing'er, he stared blankly for a second. She was wearing a mask, but her figure and the red glint that flickered in her eyes were just like those of that terrifying woman from that day.

He looked at Zhao Xing'er, then glanced back at Yue Wen. In an instant, that familiar feeling came rushing back.

"It's them!" Black Tiger cried. "They wiped out the Tiger Head Gang and killed three of my brothers! Do something!"

"Don't say things like that." Second Rhinoceros Deer hurried to stop him. "The man behind us really is our target, but how could this young lady be?"

Zhao Xing'er had truly scared him with that hammer.

He wanted nothing to do with this strange woman wearing a bulging-eyed mask.

Black Tiger pointed at Zhao Xing'er. "There's no way I could be wrong! She chopped me with a big blade, stabbed me with a spear, and even blasted me with a rocket launcher! I'd recognize her even as ashes!"

"Then you've got the wrong person," Second Rhinoceros Deer immediately said. "This young lady's weapon is a hammer."

"You mean these?" Zhao Xing'er's Storage Magic Artifact was a jade bangle on her right wrist. With a flip of her hand, she brought out the Green Dragon Crescent Blade, the Dragon Gallant Silver Spear, and a rocket launcher, along with a variety of other weapons.

"See? She even showed them to you! They hired you to kill her!" Black Tiger cried anxiously.

"These are everyday little items. It's normal for others to have the same ones," Big Rhinoceros Deer said, shaking his head. "Don't be so sensitive."

"Have you even been paying attention to human speech? Do you know what 'everyday' means?" Black Tiger roared. "Which of these things is everyday?"

"Oh..." Zhao Xing'er said. "I get it. You're that Black Tiger Demon who escaped from the Tiger Head Gang, and these two dumb Rhinoceros Deer are on your side."

"You hear that? You hear that? She admitted it!" Black Tiger cried, eyes wide.

"You keep insisting she is, so she's just getting mad," Second Rhinoceros Deer said loudly.

"He even called you dumb Rhinoceros Deer!" Black Tiger roared. "Aren't you known for your bad tempers? Isn't 'dumb Rhinoceros Deer' a taboo for you?"

"Don't say that. We Rhinoceros Deer are humanity's best friends." Big Rhinoceros Deer flashed a friendly smile.

Second Rhinoceros Deer raised a mallet behind Black Tiger and bonked him with a clang. "You're the dumb one!"

Zhao Xing'er stood to one side with her arms folded. "You two dumb Rhinoceros Deer are assassins?"

"Hehe." Big Rhinoceros Deer and Second Rhinoceros Deer nodded together, smiling. "We're just trying to make a living."

Black Tiger already had a battered head, and now a fresh lump had sprouted on it. Clutching his head, he crouched on the ground, on the verge of tears. "Why do you only hit me?"

When Yue Wen saw Black Tiger appear, he realized something was wrong.

The two unfamiliar Rhinoceros Demons were so strong not because the production crew had made a mistake, but because they were reinforcements hired by the tiger demons!

Even if they looked humble right now, he still needed to stay alert. Demons from the Wasteland Zone never lost their ferocity.

He stepped forward and said, "Enough talk. Since they've come right to us, we might as well wipe them out."

Just as he was about to attack alongside Zhao Xing'er, rustling came from the woods below. A mottled tiger demon, its body charred black, sprang out. It was Yellow Big Tiger, the one who had escaped from the Tiger Head Gang that day.

Like his younger brother Black Tiger, he had rushed over after hearing the Rhinoceros Deer brothers calling. On the way, though, he'd happened to deal with a strange human who'd picked a fight, which had delayed him a little.

"Big Brother!" Black Tiger cried, running over to hug his brother's leg. "They're all picking on me!"

"What's going on?" Yellow Big Tiger swept his gaze over the scene and saw that the demons on his side and the two human targets were all here. He was too stunned to react for a moment.

This was sudden.

"Hehe." Big Rhinoceros Deer gave an embarrassed smile. "The enemy had the upper hand, so we temporarily avoided their edge. Now that you're here, we can fight."

They weren't a match for the humans one-on-one, but Yellow Big Tiger was still a powerful tiger demon, and he had a martial arts Cultivation Method.

That black tiger had a loud voice, too, so he could cheer them on.

Three against one—perhaps they could take on the two humans!

As soon as Yellow Big Tiger arrived, the Rhinoceros Deer brothers bared their fangs, their eyes full of ferocity as they glared at Zhao Xing'er, the woman who'd called them dumb Rhinoceros Deer several times.

Now they could get mad at her again!

"Oh?" Zhao Xing'er gave a wicked grin. "So you finally bared your fangs."

The situation was finally clear. To avenge themselves, the Yellow Big Tiger brothers had hired two other demons, then used some method to follow Yue Wen and Zhao Xing'er in here.

By sheer coincidence, they'd actually managed to find them.

Two against four.

Yue Wen could tell the director's team over his earpiece that the situation was dangerous and powerful demons from outside had infiltrated the area, then ask them to send experts to protect them as soon as possible.

That would be the safest option.

But it would disrupt the livestream, or even bring it to a halt. His enjoyable monster-hunting trip would end, too. If the production crew sent experts, he certainly wouldn't get to kill the strongest demons himself.

No risk, no reward.

The other option was for him and Zhao Xing'er to deal with the four demons themselves.

He could get a Demon Suppressing Coin, the livestream wouldn't be affected, and once they were done, they could keep hunting other demons.

There was risk, but the reward would be great.

Weighing the options, he asked Zhao Xing'er, "Xiao Zhao, how many of them can you handle?"

He planned to gauge her strength before deciding what to do.

Zhao Xing'er answered confidently, "I can take on five by myself, no problem."

"Then I'll—" Yue Wen was just about to attack with confidence when he suddenly realized something was wrong. He turned and shouted, "Don't count me in!"

There were only four demons here. If she said she could take on five, of course she was including him!

So she'd been itching to beat up her boss this whole time?

"I'm not counting you," Zhao Xing'er quickly said. "That makes it even easier. I can handle all four of them."

"Then let's do it!"

Yue Wen made up his mind at once. He wouldn't notify anyone at Wangyou Media; he and Zhao Xing'er would take on the four demons themselves. With a sharp cry, he unleashed the Sword Control Art. A streak of silver light howled forth, racing straight for the weakest demon, Black Tiger!

When outnumbered, the best move was to eliminate the enemy's fighting strength as quickly as possible.

The easiest target on the other side was, of course, Black Tiger.

"Roar—"

Yellow Big Tiger bellowed. His fists crackled with lightning as he rushed forward to protect his younger brother, striking the sword ray at an angle with his fists.

Boom!

Sword energy and arcs of electricity exploded, covering a radius of over a dozen meters. Though Black Tiger wasn't at the center of the blast, the murderous sword energy pierced him again and again, sending him flying several meters before he hit the ground.

The Flying Sword returned. Yellow Big Tiger staggered backward, his fists trembling as bloody marks covered his body.

He'd realized something terrifying: it had been barely a week since the battle at the Tiger Head Gang, yet this human cultivator was clearly much stronger than before!

How could he have improved so frighteningly fast?

The thing he'd feared most had happened after all. This human with no parents really did level up at a cheat-like speed!

Meanwhile, the Rhinoceros Deer brothers pulled out their weapons and charged at Zhao Xing'er.

Zhao Xing'er continued swinging the Drum Beating Golden Hammer. Her slender body spun around with the massive hammer, once, then again. By the third rotation, it was already rumbling.

The two brothers retreated in unison.

Terrifying!

The dreadlocked lion hadn't lied. The brothers really had ambushed and killed an injured Gang Realm expert in the Wasteland Zone.

But they'd only succeeded thanks to their familiarity with the terrain, their willingness to risk their lives, and the fact that their opponent wasn't especially skilled in combat. After their successful sneak attack, they'd had to withstand a series of counterattacks from the expert before finally tearing him apart.

Zhao Xing'er's supernatural abilities were certainly no match for those of a Gang Realm cultivator. But in terms of sheer strength, even a Fourth Realm cultivator's strike didn't seem as powerful as the swing of her hammer.

It felt like a blow from her could shake the entire mountain!

That suspicion was soon confirmed. After swinging the hammer several times, Zhao Xing'er saw that the Rhinoceros Deer brothers weren't coming to clash with her. She simply let go and hurled the Drum Beating Golden Hammer at them like a throwing weapon!

A faint red glow wrapped around the spinning giant hammer as it crashed into the ground.

Rumble, rumble, rumble—

The earth shook violently. Huge waves swept across half the mountainside, tossing all four demons and Yue Wen aside.

It took a good several dozen seconds for the dust to settle.

Second Rhinoceros Deer was hanging from a tree branch. He looked up and saw Black Tiger dangling beside him. Dazed, he said, "I told you you had the wrong person, but you wouldn't admit it. Look what happened now that you finally got it right. Isn't it terrifying?"

"Cough, cough..."

Yellow Big Tiger emerged from the dust below, his body coated in a mix of dirt and blood. His muscles bulged, and he radiated a rough, feral arrogance.

"Humans, you're strong, but someone must pay for my brothers' deaths today!" His tiger eyes glowed red, shining with bone-deep hatred. "You can't imagine the resolve a tiger bent on revenge can summon."

As he spoke, each word slow and deliberate, arcs of electricity wrapped around him. Countless bolts of lightning began corroding his body, and the aura radiating from his tiger form grew stronger and stronger, surging skyward in an instant!

At the sight, Black Tiger seemed to remember something and shouted, "Big Brother, are you going to use that move? You can't!"

But Yellow Big Tiger ignored him completely.

In an instant, a frenzied, bloody wind swept across the hillside!
