I'll be going premium tomorrow at noon. Tonight is the fourth time in my life I've written a note about going premium.
Hahaha.
It still feels pretty surreal.
Maybe because so much time passes between each one that I've forgotten what I wrote the last time. I just went back and reread my first three notes. It was like having a conversation with my past self and remembering why I started.
When I first began, I never thought I'd become a writer. I was completely green and had no idea how Qidian worked. I just wanted to tell an interesting story. My dream was to make three thousand yuan a month so I could go home and write full-time.
(Though I still don't understand how it works.)
And just like that, five years have gone by. I've stuck with it all this time.
In my last book, I think you could tell I was getting a little impatient. I really wanted it to do well, but my ability wasn't anywhere near good enough. Even before it went premium, I could see plenty of problems. I'd gone down a path I wasn't familiar with, and writing the whole thing was painful.
With this book, I feel like I've become much more laid-back.
It's a little like going back to how I felt at the beginning... I just write down the story ideas that come to me each day. As for how well it does, I'll leave that up to the readers.
I believe Qidian readers are the most authoritative, honest, and trustworthy judges anywhere on the internet.
A good story can't be buried. If my story is interesting, then this book will surely get the results it deserves.
