"The Captain has a point."
The other Soldiers echoed him.
Though they were all part of the Pebble Legion, the Captain was a High God. Whether in strength or status, he stood far above them.
"Ah, that's terrifying!"
"I can't imagine how they hid the aura of their souls. That isn't something we can control."
Although convinced, some Soldiers still voiced their amazement.
"This is probably related to the soul. Without a special innate talent, those of us who cultivate the Great Earth Law can almost never conceal our souls."
The High God Captain said.
In truth, how could he know? It was only because he had lived long enough, and there really were such legends in books of the divine realm.
For someone capable of crossing planes, it was best to assume they were powerful. That way, there would be no danger.
Do not think that guarding a teleportation array meant safety simply because it belonged to a Sovereign.
After endless years, everyone had long since figured out the Sovereigns' rules.
So long as the teleportation array was not damaged, if they displeased a powerful expert and had a few Sovereign Legion Soldiers casually slain—
It could not have been easier.
Afterward, at most, the Sovereign Legion would issue a bounty mission. The Sovereign would never personally act.
But if the other party dared to act, then they would not fear your bounty mission.
If the Sovereign did not intervene, what could the Sovereign Legion do to them?
Take the Pebble Legion as an example. If they provoked Hermes, and he killed several Sovereign Legion Soldiers in anger before heading to the Hell Plane—
How useful would the Pebble Legion's bounty mission be then?
One of the Four Supreme Planes—the Destruction Supreme Plane.
Also known as Hell.
Boundless destructive energy gathered here.
The dense destructive energy caused powerful experts who lived in Hell for long periods to become irritable without realizing it.
At the slightest dispute, matters could escalate into a fierce slaughter.
One either grew stronger through slaughter or fell in slaughter.
For endless ages, it had always been so.
A cold purple moon hung in the night sky like a sickle, gently casting down a hazy wash of violet moonlight that covered the boundless dark world below.
The moonlight possessed a mysterious, eerie beauty, as though it came from another dimension.
It illuminated this ancient land.
The blazing sun, Purple Moon, and countless stars above Hell were all projections that seemed real yet illusory.
They clearly gave off light and warmth, yet could not be touched. The suns, moons, and stars of the Endless Material Planes were the same.
It was not as though no one had been curious.
But after endless ages of exploration, all that remained was mystery and the unknown.
In the direction of the Star Mist Sea, near the Purple Thorn Continent, stood a miraculous cliff.
Mirror Moon Cliff.
The name alone was filled with poetry and mystery.
It towered into the clouds, yet its sides rose sheer and vertical, as though a god had cleaved it apart with a massive sword.
Its surface was smooth as a mirror, reflecting the purple moonlight and lending it an even more sinister allure.
For hundreds of millions of years, no matter how violently the waters of the Star Mist Sea surged, this cliff had remained standing, witnessing countless changes through the ages.
Mirror Moon Cliff had existed for as long as Hell itself.
At the highest point of Mirror Moon Cliff, An ancient castle built of purple ore stood silently, as though it had existed there since time immemorial.
Within the castle, A faint, hazy, dreamlike glow seeped out, making one wonder what secrets lay hidden within.
In the open space at the center of the castle, the ground was paved with ancient earthen-yellow stone, level as though it had been carefully carved.
Here, Two gigantic Magic Arrays stood side by side, far more complex than the teleportation Magic Arrays of the Material Planes.
Upon the Magic Arrays, An ancient, desolate aura constantly radiated.
Beside the Magic Array, A squad of soldiers in neat, uniform armor stood silently.
Their armor was pale purple, with gold-trimmed cloaks draped over it, and special purple markings engraved upon their helmets.
This was the emblem unique to the Purple Thorn Sovereign Legion, and it also displayed the affiliation of these Sovereign soldiers.
Judging solely by their bearing, the Purple Thorn Legion was indeed more spirited than the Pebble Legion.
Perhaps God Planes also depended on their foundations. As one of the Four Supreme Planes that had been born earliest, Hell far surpassed the Seven Great Elemental Planes in both population and the overall balance of its cultivators.
Take the Great Earth God Realm, for example.
Its dense earth elemental energy and clear Great Earth Law fluctuations undoubtedly benefited the cultivation of the Great Earth Law, but the other elements were much weaker.
"Boom~!"
A blond, muscular man over three meters tall appeared atop the teleportation array.
"Where in Hell is this?"
He looked at the pale-purple sea in the distance and the cliffs that seemed to have been carved by a blade.
The sight was very familiar.
Though he had his suspicions, Hermes still asked anyway.
"Mirror Moon Cliff, my lord!"
The Purple Armor Soldier wearing the Captain's insignia answered respectfully. "This is Mirror Moon Cliff on the Purple Thorn Continent."
Seeing that the muscular man did not react, the soldier Captain added, "Mirror Moon Cliff? My luck is actually this good?"
Hermes muttered to himself.
He had wanted to go to the Purple Crystal Mountain Range on the Purple Thorn Continent, but the Hell Plane had a total of seven Plane Teleportation Arrays.
Which continent one would be sent to through interplanar teleportation depended entirely on the teleportee's luck.
"Then which direction is the Purple Crystal Mountain Range?"
The blond muscular man asked again.
The Captain of the Purple Thorn soldiers hurriedly raised his hand and pointed in a direction.
"Thank you."
Without another word, Hermes tossed out a Metal Life and stepped inside. In the blink of an eye, he vanished from sight.
In a God Plane, it was already good enough to point out a general direction.
Anything more detailed was impossible.
Hell was simply too vast.
So vast that even deviating by the slightest angle could result in an actual discrepancy spanning several prefectures.
"With my speed, reaching the Purple Crystal Mountain Range will probably take quite some time. I still can't give up cultivation."
His consciousness sank into the Soul Ocean, and Hermes devoted only a tiny portion of his attention to controlling the Metal Life.
Given the sheer vastness of Hell!
And the powerful soul strength of God-level Experts, Metal Life generally did not suffer collision accidents.
"Rumble, rumble, rumble~!"
Though he was not yet traveling at full speed, Hermes's Metal Life was of excellent quality.
It flew at an astonishing speed.
Its spindle-shaped form could also reduce air resistance to some extent.
Though it could not further increase its speed, the sonic booms were much quieter. Yet no matter how quiet they were, sound was unavoidable.
This was one drawback of traveling with a Metal Life.
It was far too easy to encounter bandits.
And since Hermes appeared to be only a Middle God, he was an especially fat sheep in the eyes of the bandits along the way.
"Rumble~!"
Another group of bandits. Hermes had no idea which wave of fools coming to their deaths this was.
"Didn't they stop to think? If I really were just a Middle God, would I dare fly so brazenly at high altitude?"
"Run!" Several Middle God bandits closest to him fell, their corpses plummeting from the sky.
The bandits flying farther away immediately became alert and turned to flee.
"He's not a Middle God! Fuck, it's another High God fishing for prey!"
The bandit leader cursed under his breath.
Letting them rob others naturally meant allowing others to prey on robbers. This world was always fair.
"Trying to run? It won't be that easy."
"Get down here~!"
Invisible golden threads wove together, instantly forming Mist Shadow Space across a range of several thousand meters. Mist surged forth, followed closely by the terrifying gravity of the ultimate move, Mist Shadow Heavy.
"Bang! Bang! Bang~!"
Hermes swung his fists, tearing through the mist in every direction.
