Over the next two weeks, a peculiar building rose from the fields beside the manor.

Mala Village supplied the labor, the Immortal Alliance provided the funds, and Chen Xuan oversaw its design and construction. From outside, it seemed two stories tall, but inside, it had only one floor. The layout was simple, too, with the positions of the counter, shelves, and entrance all determined in advance.

That was right. This was the "Teleportation Branch" Chen Xuan had envisioned.

He had noticed earlier that a branch store automatically rearranged its furnishings to suit the chosen building. If its layout matched the main store exactly, so would its furnishings. If its floor plan differed slightly, the furnishings would adjust accordingly, but there were still patterns to follow. The stairs and sofa, for instance, tended to appear to the left of the counter, while the elevator doors usually appeared on the right-hand wall...

With proper planning, then, a branch store could look exactly the way Chen Xuan wanted.

Once the building was complete, Chen Xuan scanned its deed into the app, making it another available location for a branch store.

But that was not the end of it. To outsiders, this was supposed to be a teleportation array built with substantial resources from the Heaven Above, Earth Below, I Alone Reign Sect, the Witches' Assembly, and France. After converting it into a branch store, Chen Xuan therefore removed all the shelves, seating, lights, and decorations, then used timber framing and color-coated steel sheets to build a passage connecting only the entrance and the elevator doors.

Meanwhile, the main store needed a few modifications as well, such as dressing up the second-floor corridor with foam boards to conceal the doors to the other guest rooms.

In short... on the day the trial run began,
