Mo Shuyun dropped to his knees and vomited. His face was covered in the blood and bits of flesh the Demon had sprayed over him, ruining his elegant image yet again. Worse, half his clothes were stained red. Until they returned to Chang'an, the Heaven's Pride disciple would have to endure the stench of rot rising from his body.

"Was he a Demon or a human?" Marlena asked, pinching her nose as she approached Zhang Zhi's body and examined it cautiously.

Zhang Zhi was undoubtedly dead. His skin remained intact, but his organs had been shattered into mush, and blood seeped from his nose and mouth. The body that had arched up from his back was rotting rapidly. In less than half a minute, its original shape was unrecognizable, as though the Cultivator had grown a tumor of organs and intestines behind him.

"A Demon, of course," Chen Xuan said grimly. "But this one seems unusual. It apparently can move around in its host's guise after taking possession."

If the tiger Demons in the mountains of the Central Plains and the crab Demons in the depths of the sea belonged to one category, while the Azure Dragon and the dark ba belonged to another, then this deformed creature counted as a third kind of Demon.

No matter how numerous or powerful the first two kinds were, they could be identified at a glance. This kind could hide its Demon nature and mingle with people, making it far more dangerous.

Of course it's dangerous... Others might not know, but Chen Xuan knew all too well: this thing had most likely come from another world. It was an invasive species through and through!

He turned to Marlena. "Go bring the Immortal Alliance people in. Have them record what happened here."

After
