The so-called underground hotel was not actually underground. It was essentially more like a lodging house for people with sensitive identities, usually converted from apartment buildings or motels. Located within gang territory, only those recognized as one of their own by gang members could stay there.
The three of them clearly did not qualify.
So when Chen Xuan shoved aside the "guard" holding a baseball bat at the entrance and strode brazenly into the hotel lobby, several thugs immediately lifted their shirts, revealing pistols tucked into their waistbands.
Chen Xuan merely snapped his fingers.
"Freeze."
Every thug instantly stiffened in place. They could only stare at the three of them in shock, with even their curses stuck in their throats.
When dealing with ordinary people now, his Law Mantra could last for more than ten minutes. Even if they were armed with guns, they had no ability to fight back.
Reid was secretly just as astonished.
On the drive over, they had discussed how to break into the hotel. Chen Xuan dragged out the dreadlocked man at the front desk, flashed Abdullah's photograph before him, and let out a strange roar.
The man immediately began moving, leading them through the lobby and up to the second
