"That's right. An ending should not merely be an empty full stop." Castorice nodded without hesitation, her gaze clear and resolute.

"It seems you really are well suited to the Path of Equilibrium." Chen Li nodded in satisfaction.

"Why?" Castorice was somewhat puzzled.

"The Path of Equilibrium is like that. As a demigod of death, you don't wish to see death, while I, as an Emissary of Equilibrium, don't wish to see Equilibrium either." Chen Li pointed at himself.

Castorice understood that because she had witnessed so much death, she instead wished even more for life to continue and for there to be a turning point. It seemed to be a subtle contradiction of the authority of "death."
