"Uh, what are you doing?" Chen Li asked, somewhat surprised.
"Chen Li, remember this. If an enemy character in a dungeon ever asks you the same question I did, remember to answer them... that you won't help. Never show them your mercy."
Morgan's gaze was more serious than ever, even carrying a trace of pleading.
"Why?"
"Because only then will they hesitate to kill you, either out of 'despair' or because they want to keep you alive for negotiations. That way, even if you're captured, you'll at least receive some preferential treatment and survive a little longer."
"Alright, I'll remember that." Chen Li nodded.
"I'm not joking." Morgan stared fixedly into Chen Li's eyes, speaking each word with deliberate emphasis.
"Neither am I. I really will remember it." Chen Li looked at Morgan and nodded again.
"As long as you remember... at least this counts as helping you a little."
Morgan sighed softly, then released Chen Li's face.
Morgan's gaze became cold and resolute once more.
Now that she had confirmed Chen Li's feelings, she could carry out the next phase of her "kidnapping plan" without hesitation.
At the very least, she was about to show Chen Li just how treacherous the people in dungeons could be. It would serve as a warning for his future dungeon raids.
Still, Morgan had to admit that, at least so far, her opinion of her younger sister Artoria's ability to judge people had improved considerably.
Though that hateful Red Dragon had poor judgment when it came to people, she certainly had good taste in Masters.
