On the night Sarah and Anthony went "out excavating."
When she kicked open Anthony's door, armed with the courage to fight the cultists to the death, Sarah was trembling.
For a moment, she couldn't see anything. After rushing inside, she instinctively braced herself against the inn's cold wall. All she could make out was darkness and an eerie green glow.
In the darkness, the sound of her trembling breaths was especially clear. Fear gripped her heart.
After a long while, she finally ventured a trembling question. "...Professor Anthony?"

As though something were stretching.
Then a voice rang out. It sounded like Funai Er's, but carried a damp, chilling gentleness that made Sarah's scalp prickle.
"Miss Sarah, as a lover who can't be seen in public, how dare you disturb my husband and me on our wonderful night together?"
Every hair on Sarah's body stood on end. She backed away, her spine striking the doorframe.
A sharp pain shot through her, jolting her back to her senses. She remembered that she had come to save someone.
"What have you done to Professor Anthony?" Ignoring the accusation that she was a lover, she gathered her courage and cried out, her fingers clutching the cold cross.
The eerie green light flickered slowly, spreading throughout the room.
A soft laugh came from the bed. Gradually, the light grew brighter, just barely illuminating the room's outline.

Huge insect cocoons were piled densely in the corners, with something like webs linking them together. They were the source of the eerie green light, all pulsing at the same rhythm as though breathing in unison.
In the green glow, the bed stood out.
