The room was quiet. Yu Xing carefully stepped inside, turned around to close the door, and wedged his cane into the gap.

He turned on the light. Seeing no figures from the paintings or dolls in the room, he relaxed and began to admire the furnishings.
Angel must have been a girl who cared about appearances.
Her room was spotless, but not cute. Instead, it had an air of elegance. The deep colors didn't make it look old-fashioned, and a few girlish decorations added a touch of liveliness.
Angel's room had a window, too. The curtains were drawn. Yu Xing walked over, pulled them aside, and looked out at the storm.
At night, everything in the distance was blurred. The outlines of the buildings were indistinct, like paint daubed on by someone.
The garden outside was overgrown with weeds. Without the sunlight, the vivid flowers had turned black, swaying in the raindrops as they struggled to survive.
Yu Xing silently turned away. He didn't waste much time before starting to search Angel's room for clues.
The relationships in this family were strange. He thought he could find some physical clues to help the deduction players piece together the story.
Soon, he felt a book tucked against the inside of Angel's bed frame.
It was a copy of the Doll Making Manual.
