The doll climbed up Mrs. Brown's dress, leaving her no choice but to scream. She didn't dare touch it.
It grabbed Mrs. Brown's golden hair and finally came face-to-face with its "mother." Its huge, pitch-black eyes gleamed with an eerie light as if it were checking whether it had found the right target.
Mrs. Brown's terrified, contorted face fell into its gaze. Satisfied, it raised a hand and opened its mouth.
In an instant, the tiny doll's mouth gaped wide, and a suction force that could wrest control of one's soul swept out.
"No!" Mrs. Brown screamed hoarsely, her eyes filled with terror and venom. Her figure swayed as she struggled desperately, but in the end, she was like a fish flapping its tail on the shore. She turned into a cloud of mist and was sucked into the doll.
With nothing to support it, the doll dropped to the ground with a clatter. Its stiff little body wobbled, then quickly got back up and sat motionless on the ground like an ordinary doll.
Washed by the rain, it stopped calling for its mother and no longer reached out its arms to be picked up.
A few seconds later, it opened its mouth and began humming a song Yu Xing had never heard, this time in Mrs. Brown's voice.
A few seconds later, the doll looked up at the sky. It seemed to realize that although it was dark, the time was wrong. It closed its mouth, and the song cut off abruptly.
