A wronged team member was calling for him. Yu Xing answered lazily, "Mm-hmm."
The tip of the seemingly fragile branch was as sharp as a needle. It suddenly sprang to life, then shot back toward Meng Dao's head like a giant snake lunging from its coil.
Meng Dao twisted aside. The strike missed, and the branch immediately pulled itself out of the snow and pierced toward him again.

Meng Dao had dealt with far more terrifying ghosts. A mere branch was full of openings.
In just a few seconds, he found an opening. His body turned, and he charged back toward Yu Xing at a speed that left an afterimage. This time, he attacked with both blades. The alarming curved weapons carved out arcs of death, slashing swiftly across Yu Xing's neck.
Now, in front of everyone, he would kill the Broken Mirror captain!
The teeth-grinding sound of flesh tearing filled everyone's ears. The piled snow burst open, and blood bloomed, spraying several meters and staining great swaths of snow red.
Someone was impaled by countless branches thrusting up from below. His chest, abdomen, limbs, neck, even his head... Thick and thin branches pierced him through and through, leaving countless bloody holes.
Carried by their upward momentum, the hard branches instantly hoisted the limp body to the height of a three- or four-story building. They crisscrossed in a dense tangle, their sharp tips seeming to threaten the eyes of the onlookers.
