It had been destroyed after just one turn on the field, and in that light, Blue God's memories were carried back to the past.

He had been an orphan, taken in with Sera by their "foster father." After being "raised," they had ended up on the lawless streets. While other children their age could depend on their parents and nestle in their arms, he could only rely on Sera and their other companions as they all struggled to survive together.

Once, they had failed to steal enough money to satisfy their "foster father's" demands. The short-tempered, overbearing man had simply ordered that none of them would get to eat. Starving, they had traded lighthearted jokes to distract themselves and make each other laugh, finding what joy they could in their hardship.

But their horseplay only made their already ill-tempered "foster father" angrier. He decided to vent his frustration by taking it out on these pitiful, helpless children. Just as he was about to lay hands on them, Blue God met Shadi, who rescued them from their "foster father."
