Why Aren't You Wearing Any Clothes?

Yu Xing yawned, vaguely hearing whispers coming from the hallway.

He opened the door without much thought. The moment it moved, something came rolling to his feet and stopped against the tip of his shoe.

Yu Xing looked down and met the ghastly pale head's gaze.

The head lay on its side, but its face was turned toward him. Half of it was a bloody, mangled mess, staining its features and hair.

A look of terror still lingered on its face, though its muscles had already stiffened as life drained away.

What an unlucky first person to see this early in the morning.

Yu Xing couldn't help making that complaint to himself. Then he recognized the face as belonging to one of the deducers.

He bent down and picked up the head, then looked toward the deducers standing in the hallway. The familiar and unfamiliar faces alike were inspecting the body parts outside their respective doors.

Gu Xing, from the Research Institute, was staying across from him. Gu Xing stood there with a deadpan expression, holding a long intestine between two fingers as if it disgusted him. He rubbed his temple with his other, clean hand, about to speak—

A burst of cheering suddenly rang out from far away.

It sounded distant because several walls separated them from it. It seemed to be coming from the street outside the narrow alley where the inn stood.

Then came the crackling and popping of firecrackers being lit.

"Good morning, everyone! At long last, the much-anticipated Snow Festival is here! On this joyous day, please dress in your finest and enjoy yourselves to the fullest!"

A dull male voice came through the broadcasting equipment. Its delivery was deliberately over-the-top. Yu Xing raised an eyebrow, immediately realizing that the announcement was being played over
