Gao Lou walked forward along the passage.
The passage was long and narrow. As soon as he entered, darkness spread like tentacles, and only the dim, murky bulbs overhead gave off any light.
There were no turns in the passage; it ran straight to the end. That made Gao Lou start to feel uneasy after only a few steps.
Something was wrong. Clearly, something was wrong.
This passage should have led to the restroom. Since it was meant for customers, the restroom surely wouldn't be tucked away deep inside. But the corridor before him was so dark and deep that he could just make out a red glow at the far end.
After a few more steps, that red light began to weigh heavily on Gao Lou's nerves.
Damn it, this was obviously a corridor where ghosts would show up!
He stopped, closed his eyes, and focused on drawing upon the power of "Architecture."
As he concentrated, a white blueprint appeared before him. The sacrificial blueprint began sketching out part of the barbecue restaurant's floor plan, focusing especially on this out-of-place corridor.
But closing his eyes in a place like this took real courage.
Gao Lou soon found that he couldn't concentrate.
Because hurried footsteps sounded behind him.
They came from far back in the corridor, moving toward him at a running pace. Gao Lou, still with his eyes closed, broke into a cold sweat—
He had only just entered the corridor, so he knew the short stretch behind him wasn't nearly that long!
How could the footsteps be coming from so far away?
What was running toward him?
Without sight, it was hard to feel safe. Gao Lou shuddered, stood still facing the wall, and kept trying to reassure himself.
"I'm here to investigate the building. I'm here to
