The woman seemed to have heard the commotion at the landlord's place and guessed they would come. Without asking any questions, she simply stepped back from the door. "Come in first."

The other three followed close behind.

The house was small. Just inside was a somewhat gloomy living room, with a shrine in one corner. It held an offering to some deity Gu Mian couldn't name, and the figure looked rather sinister.

An old sofa sat beside the shrine. Gu Mian sat down.

The woman made no move to welcome them. Instead, she got straight to the point. "You're here because of Zhong Min?"

That must have been the name
