Ren Leshan took a few more steps toward the light. His flashlight beam fell on several cash registers.

Most of the glass in the doorway had shattered and fallen. Shards on the ground glimmered faintly in the light of his flashlight.

Through the remaining doorframe, he could see a wide corridor. The floor was too dirty to make out its original color, but he could just about tell it was tiled.
