Gu Mian was still looking around when he heard movement among the bookshelves behind him.
He turned and saw an apologetically ugly face poking out from behind a shelf.
Gu Mian was just about to wonder where such an ugly ghost had come from when another large face emerged right beside it.
Oh, so the one in front was Little Red.
"Why did you come up?" Gu Mian had planned to make sure it was safe up here before calling them over. He hadn't expected to turn around less than two minutes after arriving and see those two familiar large faces.
Fatty pulled Little Red's fallen face covering back into place as he spoke. "Doctor, after you came up, Little Red started crying and insisting she wanted to come up too. When I saw her coming, I followed her. Doctor, have you figured out what this place is?"
Gu Mian looked at the room full of tall bookshelves. "It looks like the school library, but I'm not sure yet. We'll have to leave this room and have a look before we can confirm it."
"Then I'll call the others up first. We don't want to leave this room and mysteriously get separated again. Isn't that how it goes in horror novels? You turn around for a second, and all the teammates behind you have vanished."
After getting Gu Mian's approval, Fatty hurried back to the hole they had climbed through and called for the people below to come up.
Meanwhile, Gu Mian reached the doorway and leaned halfway out to inspect their surroundings.
Outside was a spacious hall, with a large ornamental structure right in the middle-a sculpture of an open book.
Several rings of potted flowers had been arranged around the sculpture as decoration. Of course, those flowers had
