Chu Han stopped wrestling with the question. He landed beneath one of the enormous inheritance steles.
He released his Spiritual Power, sending it through the ancient runes on the stele's surface to seek a deeper connection.
After a long while, the stele, silent for countless ages, responded. A vast, steady voice rang directly in Chu Han's mind.
"I am the Radiant God, ruler of the Radiant Divine Kingdom. Pass my trial, and you may receive the inheritance of Radiant Divine Power."
A light flashed in Chu Han's eyes, and he felt a little of his tension ease.
After so long in the Chaos Hall, he had finally received a complete response from a stele.
The inheritance of Radiant Divine Power was an orthodox Divine Kingdom Realm inheritance. If he passed its trial, the power would be his.
But after a moment's thought, he chose not to take the trial yet.
Even with such an opportunity before him, he remained calm. One hundred and eight God Steles stood in the hall, and he would not choose hastily.
Chu Han severed the connection and walked to the second stele, once again reaching out with his Spiritual Power.
A moment later, the new stele responded.
This one held the True Word God's inheritance.
True Word Divine Power made spoken words become law, binding reality through rules. It was distinctive even among Divine Kingdom Realm abilities, but it was still not what Chu Han sought.
He withdrew from the connection and moved on to the next stele.
The third, the fourth, the fifth...
He examined dozens of steles in succession. Every Divine Power inheritance had its strengths, and together they covered nearly every major branch of the Divine Kingdom Realm.
Yet Chu Han kept shaking his head. Not one inheritance stirred his interest.
