Ambient cosmic energy

Elemental Power is a special cosmic energy existing between heaven and earth. A human body's cells absorb it naturally during ordinary activity, using it to strengthen the Physical Body. Martial artists differ by being able to actively draw it into themselves and manipulate it for supernatural effects. Greater internal reserves generally correspond to greater strength 5.

Physical Body and Dantian

Before martial artist initiation, absorbed Elemental Power is consumed in strengthening the Physical Body. The body acts as the vessel that will eventually contain cultivated energy; a stronger vessel can bear greater reserves in the future 5.

Once the body reaches the required level, absorbed energy begins storing itself in the Dantian. This storage marks formal entry into the martial artist ranks and permits cultivation of dedicated cultivation methods 5 61.

Cultivation methods

Cultivation methods are specialized techniques for training Elemental Power. They may produce an attribute even in a cultivator without the matching innate talent; for example, a Fire Attribute method can allow its user to release flames 5.

• Giant Whale Blood enhancement enlarges the Dantian and raises the upper limit of Elemental Power storage 385.
• Scarlet origin essence can increase reserve depth, purity, meridian toughness, and physical strength without directly advancing a cultivator's realm 548.

Martial skills and weapons

Advanced martial techniques may require Elemental Power to function at full strength. The fourth form of the Seven Forms of the Army Breaker cannot normally reach its intended power without sufficient energy infusion 5.

• Elemental Power can be infused into weapons to enhance their might 5.
• The Flame Demon Battle Saber amplifies injected Fire Attribute Origin Energy, producing heat beyond what Chu Han's own input would normally generate 77.

Martial artists can form barriers from their Elemental Power to shield themselves and others.

• Chu Han creates a red barrier around Fifth Prison's experts because direct contact with the black energy could rapidly consume their Elemental Power 414.
• At higher levels, colliding Elemental Power attacks can form destructive storms capable of devastating large areas 408.

Attributes and Compatibility

Elemental Power may carry elemental attributes such as fire, lightning, ice, wind, darkness, earth, and metal 5 576.

• Fire Attribute — Supports flame techniques and can be fused with innate flames into stronger forms of Dragon Fire Origin Energy 158.
• Lightning Attribute — Can temper the body more strongly than Fire Attribute energy and is used in lightning-based attacks and domains 49 550.
• Ice Attribute — Frigid Elemental Power may conflict violently with Fire Attribute energy when they meet in the meridians 411.

Opposing attributes are not inherently safe to absorb together. When Chu Han attempts to absorb frigid energy while primarily cultivating Fire Attribute power, the two energies clash painfully inside his meridians before his fire energy devours the cold energy 411.

Higher-Level Development

Origin Cores

Origin Cores are condensed energy structures that can store and release substantial Elemental Power. Chu Han uses the Outer Core Condensation Method to form multiple external Origin Cores rather than relying on only one 427 445.

• Martial Saint Origin Cores provide dense Elemental Power and may preserve insights into Domains 461.
• Ninety-nine external cores produce a geometric increase in output rather than a simple additive increase 461.
• At sufficient scale, the resulting Elemental Power can rival a first-stage Martial God's eruption despite the user not yet reaching that realm 461.

Domains and laws

Elemental Power becomes increasingly dependent on Domains and laws at higher cultivation levels.

• Domains can suppress an opponent's movement and Elemental Power circulation, as Bu Luo's Earth Law does against Chu Han 574.
• A cultivator must unite their comprehended laws with their Elemental Power to enter the Star Realm 578.
• After Chu Han's Star Realm breakthrough, his Elemental Power intrinsically carries the Law of Fire 578.

Spiritual Power control

Spiritual Power improves the precision with which Elemental Power can be purified, compressed, and integrated into Origin Cores 461.

It also improves the activation of spirit artifacts that rely on both Spiritual Power and Elemental Power, including the Skybreaking Shuttle's amplification and devouring functions 424 461.

Limitations

• Insufficient Elemental Power prevents full use of energy-dependent martial techniques 5.
• Rapidly mobilizing Fire Attribute Origin Energy places considerable strain on the meridians 48.
• Vast reserves alone do not guarantee victory; Domains can hinder energy circulation, and higher-realm opponents possess stronger forms of Elemental Power 574.
• Elemental Power attacks, spirit artifacts, secret arts, and even an antimatter weapon fail to damage the restriction sealing the Great Wilderness Desert's Independent Space 446.
