"The Third Trial."
Several figures stopped and stared blankly at the space ahead.
This was no longer one of the Rule zones or shadowy corridors they had passed through. Before them stretched a boundless void.
Through the transparent, glasslike "ground" beneath their feet, they could clearly see colorful Energy Turbulence churning below like a boiling nebula.
As far as the eye could see, the nebula stretched and compressed, its light twisting as it shifted into all manner of bizarre shapes.
Above them, there was no sky and no cavern ceiling.
Only countless enormous, sharply angled black stones floated in the void, defying all reason as they slowly rotated.
The stones were linked by Lightning Chains crackling with deathly pale light, forming a three-dimensional maze so vast it inspired despair.
The Lightning raged. White serpents of electricity sprang from empty space and burst apart with sharp, sizzling cracks.
Even from this distance, they could almost feel painful tingles of numbness across their skin.
"This... is incredible."
One Circle Mask Man gazed at the strange, dazzling scene and murmured to himself.
The place looked as though it had been pieced together from fragments of some wondrous, feverish dream.
Gorgeous and uncanny.
Charles licked the Dark Red Metal Claws worn on his one remaining hand with his bright red tongue.
"Looks like a fun place. Hee-hee, hee-hee-hee!"
The other Circle Mask Man lashed out with a kick at the captive Wu Haoyang and Su Xingchen beside him.
"What's the catch with this Third Trial?"
Wu Haoyang's clothes were torn, and dried blood still marked the corner of his mouth. Though badly wounded, he shifted to block the Circle Mask Man's kick, keeping it from striking Su Xingchen.
Anger flashed through Su Xingchen's eyes, but she answered obediently.
"This is the Third Trial of
