Ch. 321Sang Yu (2)

Sang Yu remembered how Sister taught her about the law and encouraged her to live well if she ever escaped, before Sister was taken away and Sang Yu was abused and confined by Sang Guo Qiang. As the White Mist spread across the world, Sang Yu remained scarred and imprisoned in darkness.

  • Sister taught young Sang Yu to read newspapers, explained the law, and urged her to live well if she ever made it outside.
  • Sang Yu chose the name Sang Yu for herself, though everyone else continued calling her Zhaodi.
  • Sister was taken away in a vehicle, and Sang Yu was dragged back by Sang Guo Qiang and locked in the woodshed.
  • The woodshed caught fire, but Sang Yu survived and woke tied up in the cellar, where Sang Guo Qiang beat and imprisoned her.
  • Sang Yu had disfigured her own face with a deep wound that nearly reached her throat.
  • The White Mist swept across the world, while the boy next door cried over the television news and someone comforted him.

Ch. 322Sang Yu

Sang Yu and the other abducted women set a fire to escape their captors and entered the White Mist, gambling that it led to an Exam Venue. After surviving the exam, Sang Yu returned to find the village engulfed in White Mist and waited for the other women before they gathered supplies and headed for the village gates.

  • Sang Yu endured Sang Guo Qiang's watch and continued working obediently until the household relaxed its guard.
  • Sang Yu and six or seven abducted women set fires, misdirected their pursuers, and followed mountain trails toward the White Mist.
  • Sang Yu survived the Exam Venue, used Points to heal her injuries and strengthen her body, and deliberately widened the scar on her face.
  • Sang Yu returned to find the White Mist covering the village and waited a day for the other women to emerge from the back mountain.
  • Sang Yu and the women gathered supplies while the villagers were taking exams, then headed toward the village gates in daylight.

Ch. 323Valentine's Day (Final Chapter)

After the winter gathering ended, Bo Shuo and Yi Rong went out into the city on Valentine’s Day. A Little Girl approached them with a rose-shaped balloon, while the college student accompanying her apologized and tried to pull her back.

  • Xu Yi told Bo Shuo that Eveya had asked whether he wanted to visit the reshuffled casino, and he said he would find Eveya when the time came.
  • Bo Shuo had restarted Lost Paradise, letting most examinees return to their worlds while some High-Rank Examinees, including Eveya, stayed with their abilities intact; he also revised the advancement path so examinees could follow their own God Paths without being assimilated.
  • Bo Shuo and Yi Rong left the courtyard and saw the Valentine’s Day crowds and decorations outside the mall.
  • Bo Shuo suggested that they look around the busy shopping district, and Yi Rong agreed.
  • A Little Girl offered Bo Shuo a rose-shaped balloon, and the college student with her apologized and tugged at the child’s sleeve.
