"That's right." An Yang continued rubbing Xiaochán's head. "Would you rather I defended your little maid instead?"
"But you're being way too biased! Clearly, you were the one who used that lie to fool me, yet when I used it to fool your little maid, you stepped in and exposed me!" Huang Lan said unhappily, then looked at Xiaochán.
"He only said that to comfort you. Don't believe him. If you don't believe me, just wait until grapevines really grow out of your mouth and nose. By then, it'll be too late for you to regret it!"
Xiaochán merely looked at her timidly, remaining silent without saying a word.
She had clearly placed her complete, unquestioning trust in An Yang. As for Huang Lan's painstakingly fabricated lie, she merely listened in silence, thinking that she was truly too stupid—she was actually not even as smart as that... rabbit.
An Yang patted the little fox's head again and said with a smile, "Stop overthinking things. You're a carnivore, so how would you know that you're supposed to spit out fruit seeds? Besides, you have no experience in that area, so of course you wouldn't know what would happen after swallowing the seeds."

"Eat."
