The night sky was like a vast mirror. The starlight was hazy yet brilliant, and the boundless universe could always reflect the truest thoughts in people's hearts. Before it, everything was insignificant.
The distant Lonely Mountain stood as a backdrop, as did the continuous mountain ranges all around and the faint light on the horizon. The enormous Long Lake and this old city, which had lost all its lights, were nothing special. Even An Yang and the Hobbit, the only ones with a campfire burning, were still hardly conspicuous.
Long, mournful wolf howls echoed all around, mingled with the occasional snarls of Orcs fleeing in all directions after their defeat. They made the night seem especially terrifying, making the surrounding Tranquility feel even more pronounced by contrast.
An Yang sat beside the campfire. Baggins had already fallen into a deep sleep.
His second mission was called Supreme Dark Lord. It required him to rule Middle-earth through war, with every living being except the Ainur submitting beneath his feet.
