Strictly speaking, An Yang had not made the best choice by setting Yorktown Base on Palance.

Palance had seven satellites in all, and each had been thoroughly developed by the former Temple. Changhua Star, for example, was mainly used to monitor and control most of the Temple's institutions. Satellites No. 2, No. 3, and Satellite No. 6 were major military strongholds primarily used to protect Palance itself, while Satellites No. 4 and Satellite No. 5 were mainly used for military-industrial production and scientific research projects.

Each satellite had its own fixed territory, which undoubtedly made it more secure. Moreover, every satellite was far larger than Yorktown.

Palance also had an oceanic space base, essentially an existence similar to Yorktown Base. It was mainly responsible for transferring supplies between Palance and the Resource Planet.

Palance had no vast territory, had conquered no other civilizations, and had no colonial planets, but this was purely determined by its geographical location. At least a million light-years around Palance, there was not a single trace of an Earth-like planet. This was also one of the reasons it had never developed advanced navigation technology.

Otherwise, as a Natural World, it would naturally have expanded its territory into the star regions.

In fact, its technology was no worse than that of Star Trek.

Thus, Yorktown Base was really nothing special to Palance. At most, it could provide some technological support in the future.

But if Yorktown Base, which stored massive amounts of technology and possessed a great many technological products available for analysis and research, were placed in Apocalypse World, it would surely be much more useful.

An Yang had still been reckless.

But things had already come to this. Regret was useless.

Spring passed and summer arrived; the sun and moon flew like shuttles.

The spring
