The meal ran rather late. They chatted and laughed as they ate, but in the end, they still didn't finish it.
An Yang and Xiao Qian drove back under the cover of night.
Halfway there, An Yang's phone suddenly rang.
"Ding!"
An Yang froze for a moment, his face twisting in pain. He ignored the system, which had changed his ringtone again, and picked up his phone to take a look.
It was a text message—one sent by An You, of all people.
An Yang glanced at it and immediately tugged at the corner of his mouth.
The screen read: "Don't think I don't know what happened last night! I was going to get up early this morning and cook you a meal as thanks for all your help lately. But now there's no meal, so we're even!"
As soon as he finished reading it, another message arrived: "Also, An Dayang, you better watch yourself!"
An Yang immediately burst out laughing.
Seeing Sister Xiao Qian turn toward him in confusion, he simply handed her the phone.
Sister Xiao Qian looked at the screen in confusion. The first thing that caught her eye was the contact name in the upper-left corner—An Er You. Only afterward did she read the message below.
Soon, she smiled faintly as well.
"If Xiao You finds out that you showed me her message as a joke, she'll definitely go crazy!" Sister Xiao Qian said with a light smile. "It must not have been easy for Xiao You to send you a message."
"Yeah. She basically never messages me."
Sister Xiao Qian covered her mouth and said, "Xiao You is so cute. You'd better watch yourself, husband, or Xiao You will teach you a lesson!"
"Mm, I guess she hasn't grown out of her chuunibyou phase yet."
