The moment Cyborg in the Watchtower intercepted Amazo's signal, Shane heard Batman say something very strange to him.

"They're here for Pandora. Hide for now, and only come out after Amazo defeats us."

"What does that mean?"

Batman offered no further explanation. Instead, he instructed everyone in the Watchtower to go about their tasks, sent Diana and Aquaman away, and, after leaving Shane with one final remark, headed for the circular corridor.

"Put on a show. Draw the battlefield into space, then defeat it once you get my signal—don't reveal your true strength too early."

Shane found it strange that Batman was so certain he could defeat the infamous Amazo, but he still took Rachel to a lounge on one of the Watchtower's levels and waited quietly.

It had not mastered the proper way to fight with such a physique at all.

And at that very moment, Wonder Woman and Aquaman were absent from the Watchtower, leaving Amazo with no opportunity to learn on the spot how to properly use that powerful body.
