Yellow Lantern Superman was indeed powerful after absorbing an enormous amount of fear.
Almost in an instant, Lobo found himself being utterly brutalized.
Superman hammered him from the sky to the ground, then grabbed his head and smashed him through the city that the Yellow Lantern radiation had just turned into a lifeless wasteland.
Battle Beast rose from the rubble again and again, his wounds healing in the blink of an eye.
Rob opened his mouth to taunt Superman. He was now completely outmatched by Superman in this state, so his only hope was to attack him psychologically.
But this time, Superman gave him no chance.
A hand suffused with Yellow Lantern energy clamped over Rob's mouth. Superman lifted him and drew him close, his expression hideously twisted.
"The Yellow Lantern ring tells me that no matter how many times I smash you to pieces, you won't feel fear."
Superman tightened his grip on Rob's facial bones and carried him skyward.
"I shouldn't waste my time on you. I might as well throw you straight into the Sun and let you burn to ashes!"
Rob's eyes widened.
He feared neither death nor pain. But he feared endless emptiness.
Although Rob himself wasn't sure whether the Sun could burn him to death, one thing was certain.
Rob couldn't fly. Once he was thrown into the Sun, death would actually be the best outcome. Otherwise, he might be imprisoned there for the rest of his life.
When Superman discovered that the Power Ring had finally drawn a small amount of fear from Rob, he grew even more feverish and excited.
If Rob never gave him any reaction, this act of brutality would be meaningless.
But just as Superman was about to carry Rob beyond Earth's atmosphere, an unexpected figure blocked his path.
