Shane and Rob, who had put on a simple disguise, made a circuit of Salem City without finding the slightest trace of Doctor Fate.

They did, however, come across a religious group spontaneously formed by the locals.

Its members held prayers and handed out food and drinks in a church, centered on the theme that "Superheroes were dead."

Shane and Rob slipped into the group, hoping to ask these Salem City locals about Doctor Fate's whereabouts.
