The Spectre quickly slammed "Shane" into the ground.

The body bounced hard like a rag doll, its eyes open but utterly lifeless.

The Spectre muttered the words, and madness soon returned to his pale face.

He thrust out a huge hand, seized a pitch-black shadow out of thin air, and forcibly stretched it into a doorway large enough to push his head through.

Rachel's normally infallible Shadow Dimension offered no concealment whatsoever against an entity of this caliber. Viewed from a higher dimension, Shane hiding inside it was no different from throwing a black cloth over himself and pretending he was invisible.

The magical entity shoved his head into the shadow doorway, his face contorted as though he wanted to devour Shane alive.

But almost immediately, The Spectre screamed and flew back out as though he had struck a spring.
