Mal and Mia had not been present when Shane discussed the Superman Pill deal with Injustice Batman and the others, so the two teenagers could only watch with longing eyes.
Shane noticed their looks and chuckled inwardly.
The original Superman Pill had severe side effects. Whether taken all at once or in quick succession, the accumulated toxicity made five pills a guaranteed death sentence.
That was why Mal and Mia had not coveted them all that much before.
But now, watching Lex Luthor describe the new Superman Pill's effects with a look of utter rapture, both of them were tempted.
